Authentic Stories from Diners
I’ve been living in Cambodia for over a year, so I have a good sense of local standards. This restaurant positions itself at a higher level, with prices above average, which naturally sets certain expectations. I recently dined there and overall had a pleasant experience, though there were a few small issues. The waitress wasn’t able to explain what “Christine Mansfield's Pork and Crab Congee” consisted of. I specifically asked for a non-spicy soup, but it was served spicy. The shrimp were not fully cleaned (the tails were still on), and I would have preferred them pan-fried rather than simply boiled. There also seemed to be a lack of napkins, and I had to ask separately for salt and pepper. I was slightly concerned that the bottle of cider may have been opened while I was in the restroom, although the waitress assured me it had been opened earlier while we were talking — which I may simply not have noticed. That said, the food itself was tasty, and aside from these minor details, the overall experience was good.
This restaurant was a great finding while in Battambang! We've ordered fish amok and chicken green curry. It was extremely tasty and with great quality. A bit more expensive than the other local restaurants, but it was totally worth it!
This is good quality local food. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. It is reasonably priced for well prepared good food. Very good mango sticky rice.
Really great range of food, staff are lovely. Some interesting takes on South East Asian food, beyond Cambodia.
Excellent meal! A “nice” but still very reasonably priced meal for when you’re getting a bit tired of street food. The food was delicious, some local dishes and other Asian variants, all very tasty and beautifully presented. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Service was quick. And still affordable - we paid $31 for three small plates, 1 large plate, and 2 drinks (for two people). Definitely recommend!
