Arrived at 8pm. Restaurant not busy. 10 people in the restaurant eating or drinking. Refused to serve us. No explanation. Long journey home for us. Totally unprofessional.
Went there a Saturday night. Other than family members of the owner, no guests. No food other than things I could make in a microwave. They said they had a Pétanque tournament the following day so they were not cooking that evening. Very nice waitress. Will never go again.
Waited for an hour. The owner, who spoke some English but didn’t bother confirming the order or ensuring he got it right, was too busy playing pétanque with his friends. I ordered food but never received anything. Meanwhile, he cooked delicious-smelling dishes for his buddies, which only made me hungrier and more annoyed. Ultimately, I had to grab junk food from a nearby stand because everything else was closed. At least I have a funny story now: if you're in Cambodia and hungry, maybe skip the French restaurant run by a pétanque enthusiast.
Le bouchon de Kep is a charming place with two very welcoming hosts. You have a large range of tapas that are succulents, generous and also affordable. So yummy 😋 ! You can also play pool, ping pong, pétanque, or just relax on the sofa. I will definitely come back here.
Nice place to relax and play petanque. Chef from marseille cook nice tapas and mediterranean dishes. Friendly owners.
