Kun Khmer is most well known for its kicking technique, which generates power from hip rotation rather than snapping the leg. Kun Khmer consists of four types of strikes: punches, kicks, elbows, and knee strikes. The clinch is used to wear down the opponent. In the clinch, opponents battle for a dominant position for short-range strikes by way of elbows and knees. Cambodian fighters tend to utilize more elbow strikes than other martial arts in the region. In Kun Khmer, more victories come by way of an elbow technique than any other strike.

Amazing, upscale rooftop restaurant by the river- Service was immaculate, the Khmer dishes were delicious too! Live band playing a great mix of music. Special thank you to Lucky, who greeted us on the street and took us to our table. Highly recommend! ♥️

Great Riverside restaurant to have a relaxing lunch or dinner The ambience of music and great lighting, combined to only enhance the experience Food is high-quality, as were the several beverages that I tried. A real shining spot was that the service level I experienced was refreshingly great. Sina was a wonderful blend of professionalism, friendliness, and very attentive. A really great experience overall!!!

Dining at Riverview felt less like a meal and more like a cosmopolitan Khmer experience. Perched along Phnom Penh’s riverside, the restaurant offers uninterrupted views of the calm, flowing river paired beautifully with the lively rhythm of Chaktomuk walk street. On Mondays and Tuesdays, Riverview offers a thoughtfully curated promotion that feels almost too good to be true: a glass of wine, a crisp Caesar salad, and a main of your choosing: ribeye, pork belly, lamb chops, even kangaroo, served with complimentary sauces, all for $25. No shortcuts here, just honest, beautiful food. We dined with children and ordered several of their pasta dishes, which were a hit, especially with picky eaters. We also shared a selection of starters: warm garlic cheese bread, vibrant bruschetta, and the standout Koh Kong prawns, bathed in a Khmer spicy citrus sauce that lingered perfectly on the palate. The house wine was so lovely we couldn’t resist ordering a full bottle. The kids also loved their Strawberry Kiss Mocktail! What truly stayed with us, though, was the intention behind the space itself. The owners have created an aesthetic eye candy restaurant, reminiscent of upscale dining in New York or London, yet infused with a distinct Khmer charm and elegance. On Saturdays & Sundays, live royal ballet performances are available on the restaurant’s terrace. We didn’t get around to it this time, but it’s definitely the place to be if you want a beautiful dinner with a cultural show in Phnom Penh. Overall, from the staff, the location, to the food and experience 5 stars around the board, don’t skip Riverview when you’re in Phnom Penh!!

I’ve visited Riverview many times and have also brought my family along. This place is truly amazing. The food is excellent, with a wide selection of both Asian and Western dishes. They even offer kangaroo meat, and their lamb is exceptionally good—far better than many other restaurants I’ve tried. The service is fast and responsive, and the owner manages the flow extremely well. We once hosted our company staff party here with around 300 guests, and everything ran smoothly with no issues at all. The owner is very experienced, flexible, and accommodating, which made a big difference. I highly recommend Riverview for anyone looking for a place to relax, enjoy a date night, or host a company function. It’s suitable for all occasions, and they also offer private rooms. I hope this detailed review helps anyone considering this place. 😊

Beautiful place with beautiful decorations right at center of downtown Phnom Penh. The roof top bar facing the beautiful temple on one side and the river at another side. Food was great, waiting time is good, drinks are also great. There was life latino music and you can dance too. I love the mussel and cambodian oyster. Yummy.
