About Chanrey Tree
A local suggested I try the Chanrey Tree for authentic Cambodian cuisine. A great suggestion. The Tonle Sap grilled fish was out of this world. I accompanied it with a Singapore Sling which was also right up there with the best I've ever had. This place is an absolute must if you visit Siem Reap.

The Tonle Sap grilled fish was out of this world
A local suggested I try the Chanrey Tree for authentic Cambodian cuisine. A great suggestion. The Tonle Sap grilled fish was out of this world. I accompanied it with a Singapore Sling which was also right up there with the best I've ever had. This place is an absolute must if you visit Siem Reap.
After a long day at Angkor Wat, we were hungry for a good Cambodian meal. Our hotel recommended this place, and they were spot on! It's location was just a short ride from our hotel. Their menu offers a great selection of Cambodian and regional cuisines. Basically, everything we've ordered tasted excellent. The interior dining area was well decorated and plenty of seating. The atmosphere was relaxing. The staff was attentive and helpful. Overall, a great place to dine if you're in Siem Reap.
This place came highly recommended by our guide. We were able to grab a last minute reservation. We went early and the place was full when we left. We ordered the prawns and calamari, fresh spring rolls and chicken with lemongrass! We shared all 3 and it was more than enough food for us. The flavors were amazing and everything was delicious. Our waiter did a great job. The decor is lush and tropical. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide recommended this place. So we were excited to try it. And when you get there, they’re very lovely and greet you with a smile and you feel very important. We had a reservation. Then we sat down and looked at the menu. We asked the waiter what to get and he recommended the two local dishes which were fish and beef. That is what we got. I will say it is expensive. The dishes were fine. The luk luk had a good flavor. And the fish Curry was good. We also ordered dessert. They had their version of mango sticky rice, and this banana cream dessert. The banana dessert was by far the best! This was a fine establishment. I just thought it was expensive. And you didn’t get a ton of food.
(Late review) I ordered several meals here, more than I could really eat, but it was well worth it. All of the food was delicious. One dish was the grilled stuffed frog which was great. The restaurant was recommended to us by some of the staff at our hotel and we were thankful they recommended this place. The atmosphere was relaxed. It's in a great location so after our meal we were able to walk around the area. Staff was attentive. I was only able to eat here once, hopefully I'll be able to try it again in future travels.
I’m still raving about their Nhom chek bok dessert (mashed banana, rice and taro), it was amazing!! Beef salad was great too. Fried spring rolls and crispy rice natang were good but nothing special. Terrace is nice and service is lovely as in many places. Definitely recommend
