Monkey Republic Kampot Cafe, Bar & Kitchen

Great location! Very clean (cleaning happening every day), comfortable beds with a lot of privacy. The pool is great, very spacious area. The area itself very chill and pleasant. The staff very friendly. No hot water in the shower and the wifi was weak not reaching to the room properly.

Great walkable location, fantastic food n beverages! Nice people. Tour desk ... The Wild Orchard tours are amazing 🤩. Hostel is good, mattress in private rook was too hard for me and there was an outdoor light coming through the window. Bring a sleep mask n earplugs!

Such a great stay at Monkey Republic, we are really happy we chose here. We stayed in a private room which, although was small, was enough space for us. The flush on the toilet was broken when we arrived but was promptly fixed. The shower pressure was a little bit rubbish but not the end of the world. The bed was so so comfy and we slept well every night with no outside noise, it was very peaceful. The on-site bar and restaurant was really nice, with a large variety of food to choose from at a reasonable price. Lots of lovely outdoor seating and places to chill out which we appreciated. The pool was really clean and refreshing. We spent many hours relaxing here as it gets the sun for most of the day. The staff were very sweet and friendly, and were able to organise some transports for us. We will stay here again and highly recommend.

Loved my stay at Monkey Republic! Would 100% recommend / go back. - Dorm was spacious and clean - top value for money - Great location - not far from the busier streets but still quiet. Outdoor areas are very peaceful to chill and the pool is so nice! - Food is tasty and refined - mushroom tortellini were incredible - Staff is very nice and super helpful - can help you secure tours and transportation

Monkey Republic is great hostel and cafe/restaurant that I highly recommend! I came back because I loved it. I stayed in the 12 bed dorm the first time, which was good quality for the price. It was clean and there was a good ratio of toilets & showers to beds. It had curtains, lockers below the bunks, and the AC worked well. I stayed in the quad room the second time which was also nice. The bathrooms were even better in that room. The mattresses were relatively comfortable in both as well. The restaurant had good food and great atmosphere. The outdoor and indoor seating spaces are cozy and a lovely place to hang out. It’s a short walk into the main area of town on the river and near a grocery store and plenty of amenities. They’re currently building a pool so it’ll be an even better place to hang out soon. The staff are lovely and helpful. They gave my friend and I a drink voucher the first stay because of the pool construction, which ended up not being that disruptive anyway. Overall, this was definitely one of my favorite hostels Ive been at.
